DJ Guidelines and Requirements

(Updated 7-26-2021)

We appreciate all DJs and Pals with great music who can keep the good vibes going. We gladly welcome all new comers who want to get on mic, but we ask that you follow these guidelines.

Our goal is to keep the room a fun and enjoyable place for everyone, including the quality of the sound in the room. We know Paltalk and audio settings can sometimes prove difficult to even our most tech savvy pals. However, bad audio can make it unbearable, annoying, and frustrating for listeners.

REQUIREMENTS TO SPIN IN THE GROVE:

NUMBER ONE RULE: If an admin notifies you of a problem with your audio, and you can't fix it RIGHT AWAY, please drop the mic.
Next person in line should go, or an admin will pick it up.

  1. Ensure your audio is working properly before joining the queue. Ask an admin for a sound check if needed.
  2. Change privacy settings to allow admins to Whisper you. Or add active in the room.
  3. Must play through soundcard (stereo-mix, voicemeter, etc), Not Microphone
  4. Mute all notification (Paltalk, Windows, Skype, etc).
  5. 3 Tunes or 15 Minutes Mix per DJ. If nobody is in queue, feel free to keep playing. Dropping mic when you're done is OK. An admin will grab it.
  6. All types of music are allowed as long as it is not racist, discriminative, hateful.
  7. All room rules apply while talking on mic. NO racism, discrimination, personal attacks, no rudeness.
  8. Keep the Good Vibe, Be Positive, and Have fun!
** If you get DOTTED OFF MIC because you are not responding..... or taking too long to fix the problem, don't get offended. We're just trying to keep the party going. Once you fix your sound, you can get back in line and try again.

** If nobody is in Line After You... simply Drop the Mic when you're done.
There will be an admin to pick it up soon after.

Thank you for your cooperation, support, and helping to keep The Grove the Best room on Paltalk!
